SRTMI and SWERIM signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Sweden to strengthen cooperation in iron and steel research, technology and innovation.

The collaboration will focus on joint R&D, exchange of scientific and technical knowledge, and collaborative work in key areas including decarbonisation and green steel, circular economy and resource efficiency, advanced and high-performance steels, and digital technologies including AI/ML, along with capacity building and training.

Secretary, Ministry of Steel, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Steel and the CMDs of SAIL, NMDC and MOIL were present on the occasion.
