Will a female retired CMD succeed Soma Mondal as Member, PESB?
A female name, retired CMD from a Public Sector company, is being bandied around as successor to Soma Mondal who ended her tenure as Member, Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on April 30, 2026. If all goes favourable, she may be the next Member, Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB).
Presently, there are three existing Members including Chairperson on the PESB Board. Mallika Srinivasan, an Indian industrialist and Chairman and Managing Director of Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE), is Chairperson while Alkesh Kumar Sharma, who belongs to a 1990 batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre and Roop Narayan Sunkar, an officer of Indian Railway Service of Engineering (IRSE) of 1985 batch, are the Members of PESB.
