Well-known advocate R. Rajesh Vivekananthan has been appointed as Judge of Madras High Court. Rajesh Vivekananthan, who is presently Deputy Solicitor General of India, Panel Counsel for Archaeological Survey of India, National Commission for Homeopathy, National Institute of Ocean Technology Legal Advisor and counsel for many temples and various banks, former Senior Panel Counsel of Central Government, did his Bachelor of Law, Madurai Law College, Madurai.

He was enrolled in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu in October 1998 and was associated with his father S.Ramakrishnan and handled cases in subordinate courts in Tiruchendur and Tuticorin. He was also associated with M/s. Sampath Kumar Associates and M. Rajamanickam.

Rajesh appeared for Temples/Executive Officers of HR & CE Department and defended cases for the famous temples like A/m. Patteswarar Temple, Perur A/m. Koniamman Temple, Coimbatore A/m. Vellingiri Andavar Thirukkovil, Poondi A/m. Lakshmi Narasimar Temple, Ukkadam. He was appointed as Senior Panel Counsel of the Central Government from August 6, 2018 and served till the appointment as an Assistant Solicitor General of India. He practiced in the Original, Appellate, Writ and Criminal Jurisdiction of the Madras High Court & have also appeared in many Public Interest Litigations(PIL) in the High Court Madras representing the poor and downtrodden and associations including Sri Sankara Nagar Vari Seluthuvor Sangam, Pammal. He practiced before the Subordinate Courts, H.R. & C.E. Tribunals and Consumer Court.
