Vacancy of CMD in Feb: Duhan to get additional charge of WCL
The Government of India has failed to select a candidate for the successor to incumbent Jai Prakash Dwivedi completing his tenure on January 31, 2026. Despite having advertised a vacancy of this post on April 28 last year, no candidate was selected so far. There is no appropriate reason for the inordinate delay in the appointment of a new incumbent. A vacancy of this post is arising on February 1, 2026 and Harish Duhan, CMD, South Eastern Coalfields Limited, is expected to be assigned an additional charge of the same.
