Tenure of Tushar Mehta as Solicitor General of India extended
The tenure of Tushar Mehta as Solicitor General of India has been extended for a further period of three years with effect from July 1, 2026. The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved his extension to the post. He will continue the centre's legal leadership before the Supreme Court and other constitutional courts.
