Saleem Ahmad assumed the charge as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Navratna Central Government PSU under the Ministry of Railways. Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Director (Projects) at NBCC (India). A civil engineer with over 33 years of experience in the construction industry, Ahmad has held key leadership positions, including Executive Director (Civil) at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Ltd. and roles at the Mumbai Port Trust. He brings extensive experience in executing large, multidimensional infrastructure projects, with expertise spanning bridges, tunnels, and residential and commercial buildings. Ahmad has also presented papers on sustainable infrastructure and urban mobility at various national and international forums. During his long association with DMRC, he played a significant role in designing and implementing last-mile connectivity solutions. Saleem Ahmad is a 1990-batch civil engineering graduate from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi.
