Rakesh Bhanot, Adviser, Competition Commission of India (CCI), has been appointed as Acting Director General of the Investigation Wing of the Commission, to officiate against the vacancy arising upon Anshuman Patnaik, Director General, demitting office consequent upon his empanelment and appointment as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The Competition Commission of India has already issued an advertisement for filling up the post of Director General on a regular basis. The last date for submission of applications is April 20, 2026.
