Inordinate delay in selection of candidate for CMD, WCL
The post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) was advertised on April 28, 2025 for the vacancy arising on February 1, 2026 with the expiring term of incumbent Jai Prakash Dwivedi. The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) is yet to hold interviews for the selection of successor to the incumbent. Why is the selection of CMD inordinately being delayed by the PESB?
