Tourism Secretary Bharathidasan reviews CG Tourism Board schemes
S Bharathidasan, Secretary of the Department of Tourism, Government of Chhattisgarh, reviewed various initiatives and schemes being undertaken by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board for the development of tourism within the state. During the meeting, Managing Director Vivek Acharya and departmental officials delivered presentations covering ongoing tourism projects in the state, new tourism prospects, infrastructure development, publicity and promotional activities, and tourist amenities.

Highlighting the immense tourism potential of the region, Secretary Bharathidasan emphasized the need to effectively position Chhattisgarh's natural, cultural, and archaeological heritage at both national and international levels. He placed special emphasis on the holistic development of tourist sites, the expansion of tourist amenities, enhanced publicity and promotion, and increased participation from local communities.

Noting the glorious history associated with Chhattisgarh's various palaces forts—and with a view to providing tourists with information and a 'royal experience' regarding this heritage—he offered several key suggestions. These included formulating plans for heritage tourism, branding tourist destinations, digital promotion, establishing a robust transportation network, expanding eco-tourism activities, and further enhancing the overall tourist experience. Furthermore, he issued directives to departmental officials to accelerate tourism development works and ensure their timely completion. All branch heads of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board were present on this occasion.
