Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) inaugurated its CSR Project for Setting up of a new Ophthalmology Department and upgradation of Orthopedic Department at Shree Radhakrishna Hospital & Research Institute, Nagpur. The project aims to provide advanced medical equipment, enabling specialized treatment, improved diagnostic capabilities and enhanced patient care for the community.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr Hemant Sharad Pande, Chairman cum Managing Director, WCL, as Chief Guest. Dr Vikas Mahatma, Ex-Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Chairman, Mahatme Eye Hospital, attended the programme as Guest of Honour and appreciated WCL’s continued contribution towards strengthening quality healthcare infrastructure for the community. Sri Bikram Ghosh, Director (Finance) & Director(HR), WCL, also attended as Guest of Honour.  Speaking on the occasion, CMD WCL Dr Hemant Pande highlighted the importance Coal Industry and briefed about CSR initiatives of WCL in improving access to advanced medical care and community wellbeing.
