REC signs MoU with ERDA
To strengthen quality testing and assurance mechanisms for materials deployed under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), REC Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Electrical Research and Development Association (ERDA) today at SCOPE Complex, New Delhi.
The MoU was signed by Prabhat Kumar Singh, Executive Director (RDSS), REC Limited and Brijesh Sachdeva, Head of ERDA North. The signing ceremony was accorded by the presence of Prince Dhawan, Executive Director (PMD), REC Ltd. and officials from both organisations.
Under the agreement, REC Limited and ERDA will collaborate for third-party quality testing of RDSS project materials, technical support, capacity-building initiatives, and development of robust quality frameworks. The partnership will help ensure that materials used in RDSS works conform to prescribed standards and contribute to improved operational reliability of the distribution network across the country.
