NSIC CMD Calls on Chief Secretary, Odisha
The Chairman & Managing Director of the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Dr. Subhransu Acharya, called on Smt. Anu Garg, Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha, to discuss collaborative measures for strengthening the MSME ecosystem in the state.

During the discussions, Dr. Acharya briefed the Chief Secretary about various flagship initiatives of NSIC, including key Government of India initiatives such as the National SC-ST Hub Scheme, TEAM Initiative, and SRI Fund. The recently launched MSME Global Mart 2.0 and efforts to connect Odisha’s MSMEs with wider markets were also discussed.

Both sides agreed to strengthen the convergence of efforts between NSIC and the Government of Odisha to make the state’s MSMEs more competitive and better connected to markets. The Chief Secretary emphasised a “Government as a Whole” approach to facilitate digital enablement, inclusive procurement, and enhanced market access for Odisha’s MSMEs.

On the occasion, the Odisha State e-Pavilion on MSME Global Mart was formally launched by Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg in the presence of NSIC CMD Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya.

The State e-Pavilion will serve as a dedicated digital showcase of Odisha’s MSMEs, including ODOP products, GI-tagged items, clusters, and artisan enterprises, providing them with structured access to national and international digital commerce opportunities.

The initiative is expected to enhance the visibility, competitiveness, and inclusivity of Odisha’s MSMEs while aligning with the broader vision of Digital India, Make in India, and Vocal for Local.
