REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) and Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited(BSPTCL) have signed a landmark MoU for the development of intra-state transmission projects through TBCB mode. The initiative aims to create a modern, reliable, and future-ready power transmission network to support the state’s growing energy needs and industrial expansion.

The MoU signing ceremony was graced by  Energy Minister, Govt of Bihar- Shailesh Kumar alias Bulo Mandal, Ajay Yadav (IAS), Energy Secretary & CMD of BSPHCL, Prince Dhawan(IAS), Chief Executive Officer of REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), and Rahul Kumar(IAS), Managing Director of BSPTCL, along with senior officials from RECPDCL, Energy Department-Govt of Bihar, BSPTCL and BSPHCL.

Energy Minister Shailesh Kumar alias Bulo Mandal highlighted that this initiative will significantly contribute to Bihar’s industrial growth vision for 2025–30 by ensuring reliable and efficient power infrastructure for upcoming industries.

This partnership is set to strengthen transparent bidding, accelerate transmission project execution, modernize the grid, and encourage greater private sector participation and investment-paving the way for a power-secure and economically vibrant Bihar.
