IRFC signs loan agreement with L&T Metro Rail, Hyderabad
The agreement was signed in the presence of Manoj Kumar Dubey, IRAS, CMD, IRFC; K Ramakrishna RAO, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana; Sarfaraz Ahmad, IAS, MD, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL); Randhir Sahay, Director (Finance) - Additional Charge, IRFC; Ms Deepa Kotnis, Executive Director (Finance), IRFC; along with senior officials from IRFC, HMRL & L&TMRHL.
Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-I, spanning 69.2 km across three corridors with 57 stations, is among the world’s largest metro rail projects developed under the PPP model and currently serves over 5 lakh passenger journeys daily.
The transaction reflects IRFC’s growing role in financing strategically important public infrastructure projects and sustainable urban mobility initiatives aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat.
