IIM, Mumbai concludes 4th Specialized Capacity-Building Programme for CAG
The five-day residential programme focused on strengthening audit capabilities in the evolving domain of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and witnessed the participation of 37 officers from the C&AG of India.
The programme covered diverse themes including PPP models, concession agreements, risk allocation, urban infrastructure, solid waste management, water and sanitation, power distribution, city bus services, ropeway projects, municipal finance, and advanced analytics for PPP contract management.
A key strength of the programme was its case-based and practice-oriented approach, with sessions delivered by distinguished faculty members, IAS officers, public-sector experts, private-sector practitioners, and infrastructure professionals.
The programme also included field visits to the Adani Dharavi Redevelopment Project and the MSRDC Mumbai Coastal Road / Coastal Corridor Project (Bandra to Versova), giving participants exposure to real-world infrastructure and urban development challenges.
The participating officers also engaged in daily reflections and group assignments focused on the planning, development, and execution stages of PPP projects, enabling deeper understanding of lifecycle-based audit oversight.
The valedictory session was graced by K Sanjay Murthy, Comptroller and Auditor General of India, whose presence and guidance added great significance to the successful completion of the programme.
We express our sincere gratitude to Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai, for his vision, encouragement, and continuous support in enabling such high-impact capacity-building initiatives.
