42nd Annual General Meeting of GAIL held
GAIL (India) Limited held its 42nd Annual General Meeting, in virtual mode, at its Corporate Office, New Delhi, bringing together the Company’s leadership and registered shareholders from across the country.

The AGM was presided over by Deepak Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL, and attended by Ayush Gupta, Director (HR); Sanjay Kumar, Director (Marketing); Rajeev Kumar Singhal, Director (Business Development); S K Sinha, Director (Finance); Dr. Banwari Lal, Independent Director and Smt. Rupa Saikia, Independent Director, along with senior officials from GAIL.

Addressing the shareholders, Deepak Gupta highlighted GAIL’s performance during FY 2025–26 and the Company’s strategic priorities in a rapidly evolving energy landscape. He emphasised that “energy security has become as important as energy transition”, underlining the need for diversified sourcing, resilient infrastructure and flexible supply chains.

He also shared GAIL’s steady financial performance, expanding natural gas pipeline network, diversified LNG sourcing and shipping capabilities, and continued growth across LPG, petrochemicals, CGD, CBG and other emerging energy businesses.

Looking ahead, he outlined a clear strategic direction for GAIL: strengthening its core businesses, expanding the National Gas Grid, diversifying LNG sourcing and shipping, scaling new and low-carbon businesses, and leveraging technology, Artificial Intelligence, research and innovation to build a safer, more efficient and future-ready organisation.

The address was followed by interactions with shareholders, including a Q&A session, where GAIL’s current priorities and future plans were further discussed. As part of this Q&A session, S K Sinha, Director (Finance), GAIL spoke at length on the Company’s financial performance in FY 25-26.

The proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks by Ayush Gupta, Director (HR), GAIL.

The 42nd AGM reflected GAIL’s continued commitment to transparent stakeholder engagement, sustainable value creation and contributing meaningfully to India’s energy security and clean-energy transition.
