A high-level ministerial delegation from the Republic of South Africa, led by  𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗡𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗶, Minister of Small Business Development, visited 𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗖 on June 1, 2026. The visit was undertaken as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector and to explore opportunities for institutional cooperation between India and South Africa.

The delegation was received by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦. 𝗦. 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗮,  CMD, NSIC and Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M). Delegates were briefed on the overview of the 𝗠𝗦𝗠𝗘 sector of India, the enabling institutional ecosystem and Corporation’s initiatives for supporting MSMEs through its various interventions. Discussions focused on experience sharing & enhancing cooperation between MSME stakeholders of both countries.

𝗞𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗴𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗮, First Secretary, High Commission of the Republic of South Africa in New Delhi also joined the meeting.

The visit included a guided tour of NSIC’s Advanced Training Centre at Okhla, New Delhi, where the Minister was briefed on NSIC’s initiatives in skill development, entrepreneurship promotion and technical support services that enable MSMEs to adopt modern technologies and improve product quality and productivity.
