Review of 'Panch Gaurav Yojana' Progress: Rajasthan CS issues directives for implementation
While reviewing the budgets allocated to various districts and the expenditure incurred so far, the Chief Secretary directed officials to promptly prepare proposals in accordance with the approved budgetary provisions for the current financial year and submit them to the state-level committee for approval. This is intended to ensure timely sanctions and accelerate the pace of work. He remarked that the 'Panch Gaurav Yojana' is a significant initiative aimed at establishing the state's unique identity, enhancing local resources, and boosting employment and livelihood opportunities.
During the meeting, Planning Secretary Ravi Kumar Surpur reported that over 50,000 farmers received training under the "One District-One Agricultural Produce" scheme during the 2025-26 year. Meanwhile, 8.5 million (85 lakh) saplings were distributed under the "One District-One Plant Species" scheme. More than 17,000 people participated in various training programs and seminars organized under the "One District-One Product" scheme.
Officials informed the meeting that over 25,000 players participated in sports competitions organized under the "One District-One Sport" scheme. Additionally, more than 150 fairs, festivals, cleanliness drives, and public awareness programs were organized at the tourist destinations selected under the "One District-One Tourist Destination" scheme. The Chief Secretary directed all departments to implement the scheme's objectives more effectively on the ground through coordinated efforts. Senior officials from the Finance, Tourism, Agriculture, Industries, and Forest departments, along with Praveen Gupta (Additional Chief Secretary, Sports Department) and Ravi Kumar Surpur (Secretary, Planning Department), were also present at the meeting.
