'NIRT', under the Rubber Board, conducted an overseas training programme for an enterprising agriculturist from Brazil, Joao Abeid, who visited Kottayam along with his mother, Ms Margaret. M Vasanthagesan, IRS, Executive Director, Rubber Board, presented the certificate and memento to the participant.

The three day training gave a deep insight into the scientific management of rubber plantations and exchange of knowledge and ideas regarding the status of the industry in both the countries.
