Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of NHPC, and Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical) of NHPC, visited the Uri Power Station on May 30–31, 2026. On this occasion, they were accompanied by Umesh Kumar Nand, Executive Director (PMSG), and Aneesh Gauraha, Executive Director, Regional Office, Jammu. Upon their arrival at the Uri Power Station, the Head of the Power Station, K Vaidishwaran, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests. The Chairman and Managing Director inspected the Gingal Colony, the Power House complex, and the Barrage complex, and observed various operational activities. He obtained detailed information regarding the power station's operations, generation capacity, and overall performance; while commending the efforts being undertaken by the power station to ensure excellent performance, he encouraged the team to continue working with the same level of dedication and efficiency in the future.
