NHPC CMD, Bhupender Gupta inaugurates constructions activities of project
Bhupender Gupta, CMD, NHPC, inaugurated the construction activities of the 240 MW Uri-I Stage-II Project on 31.05.2026 by initiating the first blast for the Adit-3A to HRT through the existing Adit-3 in Uri, Baramulla District of UT of Jammu & Kashmir. The event was attended by Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical), NHPC, representatives of the District Administration and District Police, Baramulla and local residents.
On this occasion, Gupta congratulated the officials of NHPC and M/s MAX Infra (I) Ltd. for the successful commencement of project works. He emphasized the need to accelerate project execution and ensure completion before stipulated timeline while maintaining the highest standards of quality and cost efficiency. Miren Kumar Verma, HOP, Uri-I Stage-II HE Project, briefed the CMD and other senior NHPC officials on various components of the project.
