NCL organizes Training Program on "Women Empowerment"
"The true beauty of success lies in an individual's hard work, dedication, and achievements. Women should rise above the stereotypical notions created by society and carve out their own identities." These views were expressed by Mrs. Savita Pradhan, Municipal Commissioner of Singrauli, on Thursday during a special training program on "Women Empowerment" organized by Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) at CETI, Singrauli.

She encouraged women to set their goals with confidence and make their own life decisions. She emphasized that women must transcend societal boundaries and conventional thinking to establish their own identities. She advised them to remain steadfast in their ideas and dreams, and—dismissing prevailing societal norms as mere stereotypes—urged them to have faith in their own capabilities.

Present on the occasion were General Manager (HR) Rajesh Trivedi, General Manager (HR/EE) Pramod Kumar Sinha, General Manager (Singrauli Rehabilitation Cell) Niranjan Rukmangad, General Manager (Administration) Sanjay Sinha, General Manager (HRD) Rajan Mek, along with other senior officials, employees, and female staff members from all NCL projects and units.

In the second session of the program, Dr. R.D. Pandey—an expert in Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy, and Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee (Bench), Singrauli—shed light on the power and significance of women by citing various episodes from the *Ramcharitmanas*. Highlighting the social and familial roles of women, he explained the importance of inner strength, patience, and positive thinking. He discussed the benefits of yoga, meditation, and a balanced lifestyle in detail. Additionally, he informed the participants about the importance of healthy eating habits and a diet rich in fiber, vitamins, and calcium. At the conclusion of the session, she also guided all participants through meditation and yoga exercises.

Towards the end of the program, Mrs. Asha Jyoti, Staff Officer (HR), Jhingurda, provided detailed information regarding the various provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act). She raised awareness among female employees about their rights, the grievance redressal process, and the importance of a safe workplace. Additionally, Mrs. Anusha Chepuri, Senior Manager (HR), motivated the attendees by sharing insights into the life struggles, achievements, and contributions of great social reformers and inspiring women.
