MoS for Coal & Mines inaugurates revival of Kendadih mines of HCL
Minister of State for Coal and Mines, Satish Chandra Dubey, in the presence of Bidyut Baran Mahato, MP, Jamshedpur, and Somesh Chandra Soren, MLA, Ghatsila, laid the foundation stone today for restarting the operations at Kendadih Copper Mines of Indian Copper Complex, the Unit of Hindustan Copper Ltd. in Jharkhand.

They were accompanied by Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, Hindustan Copper Ltd. (HCL), Dr Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Director (Operations), HCL, Ghanshyam Das Gupta, Director (Mining), HCL, S S Sethi, ED and former Unit Head, ICC, Umesh Singh, ED and Unit Head, ICC, Ghattuwar, GM (Mines), ICC apart from other senior dignitaries.

The revival of mining operations in Kendadih marks a significant milestone in the revival of India’s Copper industry, an important step towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat and the beginning of a new chapter in the glorious mining heritage of Singhbhum. The Minister of State and other dignitaries were warmly welcomed by the locals at the mining site.
