Director (HR), SECL graces Valedictory Session of ASCI Programme
Biranchi Das, Director (HR), South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), graced the Valedictory Session of the training programme on “Space-Based Geospatial Technology in Land Survey, Record Preparation and Land Acquisition – Towards Effective Management of Land Issues in Development Projects” as Chief Guest at the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad.

The programme, held from 25–29 May 2026, brought together officers and professionals from leading organizations across the country, including Tata Steel, Coal India subsidiaries, NTPC, SJVN and other reputed institutions.

Addressing the participants, Das highlighted the transformative role of space-based geospatial technologies, GIS tools and digital land records in improving transparency, accuracy and efficiency in land management. He emphasized that effective land governance is critical for the timely execution of development projects and for strengthening stakeholder confidence.

“Land is the foundation of every development project. The integration of geospatial technology with sound governance can transform land management by making it more transparent, efficient and people-centric,” Das said.

He encouraged participants to apply the knowledge gained during the programme to strengthen field-level practices and promote technology-enabled governance in their respective organizations.
