Sadanand Vasant Date, who was on central deputation as DG, NIA, has been appointed as Director General of Police (DGP), Head of Police in Maharashtra. Date, who belongs to a 1990 batch IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre, will succeed incumbent Rashmi Shukla completing her tenure on January 3, 2026. The tenure of Date will be for two-year.
