As part of its commitment to promoting sports and nurturing young talent, SECL is exploring the establishment of a High-Performance Badminton Centre of Excellence for wards of employees, Project Affected Persons (PAPs), and employees.

During a visit to the Gopichand Badminton Academy, Hyderabad, Biranchi Das, Director (HR), SECL, interacted with Padma Bhushan Pullela Gopichand to understand best practices in developing world-class badminton infrastructure and training ecosystems.

The proposed initiative aligns with SECL's broader vision of fostering sporting excellence, youth development, and employee welfare by creating opportunities for talented players from the coalfields to access professional coaching and advanced training facilities.
